A concentrator of oxygen for oxygen therapy is a machine used to provide oxygen to a patient at concentrations significantly higher than those available in the environment air. It is used as a means safer, less expensive, and cheaper alternative than the compressed oxygen tanks (cylinders). In aesthetic centers and aesthetic medicine we would need a special permit for the procurement, installation and maintenance of oxygen cylinders. This is highly overcome by the use of the oxygen concentrator that has no pressure tanks but, as we shall see, it uses the oxygen already present in the environment. For this reason, in recent years it was possible to spread the oxygen therapy protocols to all beauticians and their customers, who were thus able to benefit from treatment of high nutrient value and being absolutely no contraindications. Oxygen concentrators are also used as an economic and continuous source of oxygen in industrial processes.
How does an oxygen concentrator for oxygen therapy
The simplest oxygen concentrator is capable of a continuous delivery of oxygen and has an internal mechanism based on two cylinders, filled with a zeolite material, which selectively absorbs the nitrogen in the air. So, apart from the normal cleaning and routine maintenance of its external components such as the spray gun, the tube and the outer filter, the oxygen concentrator does not need any maintenance.
