Features of the Tensoplast Sport Bandage

Tensoplast sport is a bandage with a textile support that can be extended in length and with variable elasticity memory. Below approximately 50% of extension, the bandage has the characteristics of a normal elastic bandage, fully recovering its original length. When the extension exceeds 50%, the bandage loses its tenso-elastic properties and becomes a rigid structure resistant to further stress.
This feature is essential in all those cases in which it is necessary to limit movement as much as possible (almost inelastic bandage) or allow a certain mobility (elastic bandage).

Equipped with excellent adhesiveness, it allows a bandage to be kept stable for the entire duration of the treatment.
The longitudinal stripe coating limits the phenomena of skin maceration. The adhesive mass is entirely protected by a polyethylene film that is easily removed when applying the bandage.

The cotton support of Tensoplast Sport has an elasticity greater than 50% and, thanks to its great conformability, adapts perfectly to anatomical reliefs.

Tensoplast Sport has excellent resistance to high traction forces, originating from both active and passive muscle-tendon and joint action.

The great comfort of Tensoplast Sport ensures safe, stable and long-lasting support and compression, without creating discomfort for the Patient.

Indications for use of Tensoplast

Traumatology: prevention, rehabilitation and functional treatment of trauma to muscle-tendon and joint units;

creation of anchors, tie rods, support, unloading and stabilization bandages in the treatment of muscle, tendon and joint pathologies.
Fixing of dressings: fixing of infusion lines and post-operative dressings.

Composition
