REALISM is the new tattoo pen for the realistic style developed in collaboration between Otzi and the artist Maurizio Mayol.

It was born from the need to have a high-performance pen but with a low weight to face very long sessions without weighing down the artist's hand. In fact, although it contains 2000mah batteries and can support any size of needle, its weight is less than 200g.

The chosen stroke is 4.0 making it perfect for any type of line, shade and background.

The artist who collaborated in the development of REALISM, Maurizio Mayol, gave us his impressions and technical specifications:

"I am very excited to present to you the new Tattoo Pen, designed by me and developed in collaboration with OTZI Tattoo Factory.
The REALISM is a very versatile machine created for realistic but can also be used in more traditional tattoos. It has a notable softness in its nuances and is also very comfortable for very long work sessions because its weight is low, vibrations are almost absent and it has an optimal duration of the two batteries.
The medium-high 4mm stroke allows me to work extremely easily in creating lines, fills and shades. The voltage ranges from 5 to 11V but for my work I perceive the best feeling between 6 and 7.5V maximum. It has a LED display and three soft buttons that allow simple and quick setting of the working parameters, and a grip with ball gear that keeps the set needle excursion stable...

The REALISM pen was made with aeronautical aluminum and precision CNC technology.

It is a wireless, battery-operated tattoo pen, also equipped with an interchangeable head with RCA connector to connect the pen also with the cable.

Equipped with a digital screen operated by just 3 buttons that can show you:

- Start/Pause. In standby mode, if it is not operated for a long time, it will turn off by itself

- Working voltage

- Battery status

- Work hours. Only the actual working time of the machine is counted. When the machine is running, it "flashes".

Warranty and assistance

Your tattoo machine has a 1 YEAR ITALY WARRANTY against malfunctions, manufacturing defects and problems relating to components not subject to wear and tear. Furthermore, for any future problems, our laboratory and Italian technical support is always active and supplied with any spare parts, mechanical or otherwise.

REALISM use and maintenance advice

With the exception of the cartridges, which are disposable, all components of the machine, especially the grip, must be cleaned and disinfected after use. Before starting any cleaning and maintenance activities on your Pen, disconnect the power bolt

Unscrew the grip completely, clean it and immerse it in a sterilizing solution composed of peracetic acid and water or place it in an autoclave; Remove the O-rings from the grip and then clean and disinfect the rest of the machine with a broad-spectrum disinfectant such as BACTISAN SPRAY 2000 or BACTISAN WIPE 2000 disinfectant wipes.


To guarantee your work and a long life, the machine must be cleaned before and after each use using a soft cloth for the outside and a cotton swab for the inside of the grip.
